"Flowing Time"
Sculptured from a majestic tree into functional art.
This free form bench is crafted out of a single piece of wood from a majestic Osage Orange tree, which grew in our local area. 
Measuring nine and a half feet, it is difficult to capture the grand nature of this piece in one picture.
With time, the striking brilliant yellow color of the wood will age into a richer golden brown hue, as in the picture to the right.
The four legs are crafted from the same osage orange tree, shaped by hand until we reached the exact balance between form and function for the bench. The legs are attached without nails, using traditional handcrafted joints and are precisely positioned around the piece for stability, allowing one or many people to sit down together.
The way time flowed through the life of the tree is seen as the tree’s story which can be read in the grain and small canyons and crevices of the wood, 
which make this piece especially distinctive.
To fully appreciate the special nature of this piece, you need to sit down on it to experience it. Maybe you’ll find it has a way of quietly bringing you back to a different way of seeing all that’s happening around you.
